Diese Schaltwelle ist passend für 4-Gang Zündapp Zweiräder. Die Schaltwelle ist zusammen mit dem Ziehkeil und den Schaltwellenkugeln für das einlegen der Gänge verantwortlich. Auf der Welle werden die Zahnräder für die entsprechenden Gänge montiert. Durch ziehen des Ziehkeils werden die die Kugeln durch die Bohrungen der Kupplungswelle gedrückt und passen sich in den Nuten des jeweiligen Zahnrads ein.
