Grundsätzlich können die verschiedenen Vergaser frei untereinander vertauscht werden. Die Größe des Durchlasses bestimmt dabei im Wesentlichen die Menge des Kraftstoff-Luft-Gemisches und muss nach dem zugehörigen Hubraum ausgewählt werden. Die Motor- und Luftseitigen Anschlüsse können in der Regel mit Adaptern angepasst werden.
Die Vergaser des Typs SHA und SHB gehören zu den Klassikern im Motorbau mit kleinem Hubraum, vorwiegend bis 50ccm. Durch unterschiedlichste Luftklappen-, Luftfilter- und Chokevarianten entsteht trotz einfachem Aufbau ein breites Einsatzspektrum.
