The company "Hercules" was founded in 1886 by Carl Marschütz as Velozipedfabrik Carl Marschütz & Co. and manufactured bicycles in the early years up to 1928. It was not until 1928 that the production of motorcycles with a displacement of less than 200 cm³ was worthwhile again. All engines of the Hercules two-wheelers come from Fichtel & Sachs.
Would you like to avoid major repairs to your Hercules Prima or your Sachs 504 or 505 automatic engine? Then a regular inspection of the engine is essential. With this set you get all spare parts needed for the inspection. After years of use, the fuel filter is often dirty and clogged as a result. The fuel can therefore not flow unhindered to the carburetor. This problem can easily be solved with a new fuel filter and fuel hose. It is usually recommended to clean the carburetor as well and to install new seals. Two other components of the set are the spark plug and the spark plug connector. These ignition components are subject to a high level of wear and can lead to misfiring if they are not working properly. Therefore they should be exchanged. You will also receive a gear oil specially developed for automatic engines, which is used to fill or refill the gear. The air filter insert in your vehicle should also be replaced. Last but not least, dirt on the motor housing can be removed with the help of brake cleaner.
