When Alfred Kreidler joined his father's metalworks, the production of motorcycles began under the Kreidler brand. Alfred Kreidler gained constructive experience in the automobile industry and, out of a personal inclination, dedicated himself to building motorcycles. The first Kreidler was a 50cc motorized bicycle with 2.2 hp. Until bankruptcy in 1982, the company manufactured various mopeds, mokicks and mopeds.
The float's job is to ensure a constant fuel level in the carburetor. It consists of a plastic housing and is mounted in the middle of the float chamber using a metal hinge. When the fuel reaches a certain level, the float needle is pushed into the inlet valve by the float and closes it. This means that no more fuel can flow into the carburettor.
