Check your fuel tap regularly. The fuel tap is located in the fuel line between the fuel tank and the carburetor. It must be opened and closed by hand.
If the fuel tap is getting on in years, it can have a big impact on your vehicle. An uncontrolled fuel supply will overwhelm the carburetor. The float chamber fills up and no more air can be drawn. The moped can't make any power. But it can also happen that the float chamber simply overflows. Then you distribute your valuable fuel in the area.
